Duke of Edinburgh

Is your child interested in choosing climbing for one of their DofE Activities?

Let us help!

It could be a totally new activity which your child is eager to explore or an existing hobby in which they wish to develop their skills further, either way, we can help them get the most from their time on the wall.

If your child is over 14, we offer a brilliant pathway to help them excel in climbing as one of their Activities, whether it is their chosen Physical or Skill activity.

Formal Instruction

Provided your child is over 14, they can join us for any of our instructed sessions!

Introduction Sessions

Ideal for first-time climbers, or those who haven’t ever had formal instruction, these sessions are an ideal starting point to get things off the ground. Covering everything from the all-important safety to some incredibly useful climbing tips, these sessions are a great way to get involved with bouldering.

We run these sessions twice daily, with 6 spaces available per session.

The cost is £20 per head, inclusive of entry for the day and shoe hire.

Fundamentals Sessions

Aimed at those who have joined us for an Introduction Lesson, or been a few times before, these sessions will provide attendees with the perfect foundation of climbing skills, which will stick with them for their entire climbing career.

These sessions work well for those completing a Duke of Edinburgh award, as they offer clear topics each week, and are led by an Instructor who can then complete the assessors form at the end of the programme.

These sessions run every Tuesday from 7.30 pm - 8.30 pm and cost £5 on top of entry, or free for members!

Drop-In Climbing Sessions

If your child is feeling confident to climb solo and progress their skills outside of formal lessons, then they’re more than welcome to drop in and climb when they wish!

Provided they have either completed an Introduction Lesson or bouldered elsewhere before, all they need to do is answer a few straightforward safety questions upon entry and away they go!

Entry for 14 to 17-year-olds is £10, with shoe hire costing £3.

Alternatively, if your child is going to be visiting more frequently, the best way to visit is to buy a membership, which gives them unlimited entry one month at a time! For more info on memberships, or to buy online, click below.
